The Laddie is named in the honor of Thomas A. Brady, MD who is the father of sports medicine in central Indiana. Dr. Brady established a walk-in clinic in the basement of Methodist Hospital in the late 1960’s. this clinic endured until it became the Methodist Sports Medicine Center. Being a good Irishman, Dr. Brady would call many of those he work with “Laddie”. Therefore, in recognition of Dr. Brady and his medical legacy we call the Methodist Sports Medicine Research & Education Foundation golf tournament, The Laddie.
