The Laddie Golf Tourney was held on May 23rd at the famed Crooked Stick Golf Club. We had 29 foursomes who enjoyed at great day of golf and fellowship. Special thank you to our co-title sponsors Somerset CPA’s and Valeo Financial Advisors and to David Mazanowski for being our Laddie Golf Chairperson. The Laddie is named in the honor of Thomas A. Brady, MD, who is the father of sports medicine in central Indiana. Dr. Brady established a walk-in clinic in the basement of Methodist Hospital in the late 1960’s. This clinic endured until it became the Methodist Sports Medicine Center. Being a good Irishman, Dr. Brady would call many of those he worked with “Laddie.” Therefore, in recognition of Dr. Brady and his medical legacy we call Methodist Sports Medicine Research & Education Foundation golf tournament, THE LADDIE.
